I had the pleasure of running a 'Weekend to End Womens Cancers" foot clinic at the Oakville Newbalance Store, this past Wednesday April 4th, 2012.  This year is extra special, it is their 10th anniversary, still going strong, growing larger, and raising more money and awareness.

Speaking to a room full of motivated participants about footcare, and foot injury prevention, to ensure success of such a worthwhile cause is quite fulfilling.   Every year I am amazed that number of interesting and different questions I'm asked to address, this is in part, due to the ever evolving technologies in footwear, stretching regimes, injury treatments, and training techniques.  Blisters and Barefoot running were hot topics that were discussed and consequently, we will be doing individual blogs regarding these topics at a later date.

Thank you once again to Trish McDermott  for inviting me to speak, and to New Balance Oakville for providing the venue and the 20% discount to all participants of that evening.

Good luck to all of you, see you again next year!
